# PositionTransferInstruction <DL> message

## FIX 5.0 SP2 EP299

### Description

 The [PositionTransferInstruction <DL>](https://www.onixs.biz/fix-dictionary/5.0.sp2.ep299/msgType_DL_6876.html) is sent by clearing firms to CCPs to initiate position transfers, or to accept or decline position transfers.
