# QuoteResponse <AJ> message

## FIX 5.0 SP2 EP299

### Description

 The [QuoteResponse <AJ>](https://www.onixs.biz/fix-dictionary/5.0.sp2.ep299/msgType_AJ_6574.html) message is used to respond to a [IOI <6>](https://www.onixs.biz/fix-dictionary/5.0.sp2.ep299/msgType_6_6.html) message or [Quote <S>](https://www.onixs.biz/fix-dictionary/5.0.sp2.ep299/msgType_S_83.html) message. It is also used to counter a [Quote <S>](https://www.onixs.biz/fix-dictionary/5.0.sp2.ep299/msgType_S_83.html) or end a negotiation dialog.
