# RegulatoryTradeIDScope <2397> field

## FIX 5.0 SP2 EP292

### Description

 Type: [int](https://www.onixs.biz/fix-dictionary/5.0.sp2.ep292/index.html#int)

 Specifies the scope to which the [RegulatoryTradeID <1903>](https://www.onixs.biz/fix-dictionary/5.0.sp2.ep292/tagNum_1903.html) applies. Used when a trade must be assigned more than one identifier, e.g. one for the clearing member and another for the client on a cleared trade as with the principal model in Europe.

Valid values:

- 1 = Clearing member
- 2 = Client
